Bugger eh Del. Did it go BANG or just a lot of clunking or what - interesting to know these things. Hope you get it sorted quickly and cheaply
Glad you made it home OK, and I hope you enjoy the chinese.
Sorry we didn't get to say any more than just Hello yesterday. Next year I'm bloody staying Saturday night!

I see it's gone by the outer circlip groove, mine always used to go there too. GKN made me an uprated set (via Tower View) that are stronger and also don't have this stress raising circlip groove. If you find you're breaking the transmission regularly you might want to try something similar.

Yes Peter, on the inner C.V. Will be looking into this

Did you get on the RR before this happened Del?If so what did you get?
Hi mike, yep, 1st on Sunday morning, very low numbers & skipping 260 & 290 something (they weren’t happy with the readings compared to previous) I was just going out for a short drive to warm up again for another run
If it is that low I’ve lost a lot of horses/lbft since last time & since doing 2/3rds of the Cerbs last weekend

At least it was only a shaft
if the numbers above are correct thats gonna cost alot more
Sorry to hear about the problems Del and hope you got home safe. We asked Pete if he was going to drive past and blast his horn at you - obviously he said yes!
271 I heard - Andrea got 279.x before we put the injection upgrade on but it needed more fuel and nobody had a guage so we could up the regulator. The rolling road guy reckons it would go to 300 ish with more fuelling. Even the lowly BV got 256 but was running really rich - again he reckoned 270 if we lean it up a bit. Not bad for a standard engine (silicon induction hoses and K&N filter are the only upgrades I'm aware of).
