Earthing problem

Right

After the saga of the duff starter motor (rectified with pecussion adjustment) I now have another little niggly fault.

Battery flat. Trickle charge battery. Notice the battery light on the speedo is glowing. Take car for a drive and the light is out. Stop and the light remains out. 2 hours later it's back on and merrily discahrging the battery.

Any clues?

Not 100% sure but im think i read this once before having a connection to the rectifier/diode pack thingamyjobbie on the Alternator.
