now i have nearly finished my tuscan , i was just looking around for the next project something to restore with my son
and as i had a griff years ago thought about one of these
do griffs ever come up suitable for restoration

depends what you mean....

take a look at the lower price end of autotrader ads for griff, plenty of tired'ish griffs that could benefit from a lot of tlc.

ie tired/rusty, chassis, mechanicals overhaul , tired interior, tired paintwork, etc,etc

Just cos it's got an MOT doesn't mean it doesn't need a restoration! Anything cheap is likely to need work - they can look good on top and awful underneath. Plus it's pretty easy to take a Griff apart and put it back together better than original (but philosophical question - is that true 'restoration?...'). Anyway the other obvious route is an accident damaged car. Check ebay.
