It may be a real bargain, at that price I would expect to be doing alot of work on it.
But you never know.

It certainly is cheap, but unless its had suspension work, extensive service you have to be prepared to spend.

You pays your money.....

A severe lack of info for this car, ie good condition could just mean the body work, engine etc could be jiggered..bloody tempting though biggrin

I quite fancied the other ebay Griff. bargain, sold for £7.4K, 1997, 21K miles but CAT D 5 years ago. That said I would have viwed the car but it was in Northen Ireland.
Still looking for that elusive bargain Griff.

Well the one in question seems to have finished around £6K BUT when I click TVR on the main menu this one never came up, WHY - am I not looking in the right place?

I asked the sellar if they had the original wheels and any service history.

This is the email i received.

"Hello,
Sorry for mailing you so late!
I'm glad that you're interested in my car.
I am in BERLIN,GERMANY right now but the car is in UK and it will be shipped from there. I sell this car cheaper because it belonged to my husband, who died an year ago. I decided to overcome this incident, and I don't want to see every single day things that remind me of him. I don't want to benefit from selling this car. A few years ago, my husband payed £4700 for this car to a friend of him and now I request the same price. This way,I won't have problems with my conscience. The car had 2 more owners. The car have mot and tax available untill next year. Even I'm not good about cars, I'll try to describe the car the best way I can. It has no scratches, no damages, no hidden defects. It is in imaculate condition and has never been involved in any accident. The mileage is accurate. The engine runs good, the paint looks new ( as you can see from the pictures ), garage kept.Shipping will be done whit DAS and it will take no more then 2-3 days. I have a friend there who will manage me a low price shipping and I assumed that it is my duty to pay for shipping it.It will be delivered directly to your address. The buyer will receive the car with all papers and receipts that he needs to register it to his name.
The transaction will be closed only through ebay vehicle purchase protection so we both be protected.
Also in this way you have the chance to pay after you receive and test the car!
I will look for your email.
Best regards"

Make of it what you will

It's a shame isn't it .. have you reported it to the local police? they might want to investigate if you think there's a scam going on (and if it's a western union transfer that sets alarm bells ringing for a start, no normal punter does stuff like that?). By reporting it you might be helping another potential griff owner from making a very expensive mistake?
