The two of us met at Mech Repair in Cheltenham: 2Munkys having his Griff 500 with a V8D 5.4ltr (around 400bhp on the rolling road) sorted by Mark Adams and Brian and me with my Range Rover with a 5.3ltr V8D engine (382bhp on the rolling road) in for new injectors and Mark Adams' magic.
So, how's your Griff going? I trust the drive home was straightforward and forward facing at all times in the wet conditions. My RR is excellent!
What can we spend money on next?! Veg, no suggestions please!

Hi Al
Nice to have met you the other day and glad that your session went well: a Range Rover running full bore on the rollers is a sight to behold.
The figure you mention for my Griff however I'd love to witness but, I think I'd struggle to realise anything like that. On the day, the car was bottoming out on the Rolling Road platform causing a loss of traction. Despite cranking up the rear shocks, bald tyres lose you about 8mm of ride height. It's possible the drop links were making contact first which would in effect lift the wheels from the rollers. So, turning the Griff into a people carrier with 5 persons on board was of little help.
I'll be back again soon to get an optimal map with some fresh rubber and added ride height. Also sporting some 30 lb/hr injectors as the 23 lb/hr were almost maxed out. I've got one or two other issues to address in the mean time but I'll keep you posted.
Oh, I have some footage of you adding your 8 stone in the boot. . . . . . and I do hope another episode of Rickets hasn't flared up on account of it

2Munkeys,
I may have misunderstood but I thought Brian's best guess was around that figure extrapolating what he was able to get before your car attempted to enter low earth orbit at around 4,000rpm! I look forward to seeing the actual figures. The sound of that engine is simply awesome. I'm trying to persuade Veg (Griff 500) and a new owner of a Griff 500 (Seb, I'm not sure he's on here yet) to spend some money and pay V8D a visit; I may need to ply them with a little more Laphroaig!
Anyway, best of luck with your toy. Keep us posted on the results.
