Door unlock

My drivers door will not open from outside have to use inside lever to open any thoughts ?

Does the handle outside still press down and do nothing or has it stuck?
Either way it sounds like somethings come adrift inside the door to the lock mechaniasm.

i can still press the handle but nothing happens its as if its locked

sorted oil is a great thing

I had this and I think it was water getting in and affecting the electrics in the door locking mechanism. It did sort itself after I oiled the mechanism but then happened again after heavy rain. Greased the door knob to see if that would help, seems OK so far.

Just in case it comes back.
