If you need a hand lifting the body off, give me a shout and I will see what I can do. Sundays would be best.
Thanks Frazer, very much appreciated and I'll let you know when I get started. It looks like it will be Feb not Jan though, I forgot I'm going to be in NZ for most of January
(poor bugger, no marbles anymore). I see you finally came to your senses and decided against selling your Chim and you'll be going down this road too if I read things right.
Top Man
Whats this about PAS being an upgrade? Going on the recent experiences of Johno and Ballistic Banana I'm damned glad I haven't got it. Seems more like a liability to me.
Good old Pre-Cats. Simple things for Simple folk suit me just fine

Good luck Antony. And while you are doing it remember you're documenting it for me because I'll be doing the same in January

Quick update.
All thats left to do before the old heave-ho is disconnect the clutch and brake pipes at the inner wing,
get the front ARB (not that it has a rear one!) off, which I think means radiator out(although its disconnected already) and then just one bloody seized bolt behind the fuel tank that is being rather persistent in its desire to stay put!!!
Hope I havent forgotten anything , 'spose I will find out when I lift it off.
Guys , do you think I should start a wiki and list the jobs to get the body off?
People like David H and The AJP Griff might also contribute and of course anyone else who has gone down this route.
If so I will start a wiki later and maybe one of the mods will sticky it, over winter at least !!!

Dont know about a "sequence" of events, but certainly a list of things to get through.
People could even then list possible sources of blasting and powder coating.
Plus at the moment if you search Griff body off I dont think there is anything definitive.
