Recently been on a photoshoot for Classic & Sportscar to do an article featuring my Griff, a MK IV Cobra and a Viper. Was a great day with some 'interesting' driving to get the 3-car pics. Obviously it's a comparison and I think the Cobra will win, however I think the Griff will come a close second and easily the best value for money. As for the Viper, well I'd rather not say, the interior is dire and the canvas roof contraption a joke. Goes well tho even if it doesn't sound like it.

The Viper is for sale for approx £30k, the Cobra £70k with Rod Leach and my Griff £11750 on the classifieds hint, hint!!

The mag was supposed to be out next month, Jan issue, but has been put a month. Think it's going to be the main article and front cover.

Cheers, Al.

Put it this way, any lower and there won't be any point in selling it, so I won't.

The problem Tweety has in summed up by the PH advert below his advert - the average punter would rather go for a Griffith 500 and when prices are so close there's no contest.

Only if the average punter is blinded by cc's (which sadly many are). Many who bother to drive both variants prefer the precats.

Good work on the article tweety. I'd think it'll help you sell the car. Raising the profile of the Griff - particularly as they are such incredible bargains at the moment - is good news too.

The real problem is that the cost of fixing and maintaining them will make it difficult for many of those new owners to justify the expense of keeping on top of problems.

Cars are liable to become poorly maintained, increasing rumours of unreliability and expense to put right.

This will further depress the market price in a vicious circle. Some cars wil become so bad that they become uneconomical to repair for mechanical reasons, rather than just accident write off's.
