Looking for a LHD steeringrack with PS
Discussion
Hi Lad's,
I followed this forum quite a while and decided to place a request for a part. I am looking for a steering rack for a TVR Chimaera (the same as
Griff i believe) with powersteering. It's a LHD so that makes it quite difficult i guess. Any tips where i can buy a new or reconditioned rack would also be helpfull!
Thanks in advance,
Tim

There's a new TVR shop.... oddly enough called The TVR Shop !?!
They appear to be able to supply new or recondition your original....

Having ahd my rack out several times, I believe the rack can be used either way, as there is a blanking plate by the input shaft assemebly which suggests it may be able to be mounted on the other side. . .
The only reservation I would have is the fixed piping which runs on the front of the rack which would then befacing backwards . . .
Worth investigating though . . ..

I reckon you could be right there.. I would have thought ( mind you this is TVR we are speaking about) they had them made they would have been able to use them for teh left hand drive models too..Like you say worth investigating further. The only reservation I would have is the fixed piping which runs on the front of the rack which would then befacing backwards . . .

Hows your rack now?
