Metallic blues, blacks, silvers and reds all seem to be popular -yellows and greens aren't as popular - but I agree that Griffiths look great in most colours.

Clearly Blue's are the best yum

Dark green works fine on a Griff, probably the most saleable colour. I had a Californian Sage green Chim and that looked awesome, as does it on a Cerbera, doesn't look right on a Griff though - of course all this is subjective to the eye of the beholder.

10 years ago, my old man had a Big Valve that was a dark red / maroon. I thought it looked lovely. Not sure what the TVR name for it was. When he phoned a couple of dealers asking what they would give for a trade in, one said :

"nothing in that colour. The last one in that colour sat on the fore court for ages, so we will not touch another"

I won't name the dealer, but they did loose an almost cirtain sale of a 500 a few months later due to attitude.

A certain TVR dealer was (possibly still is) known for stating, when asked for a trade-in price, 'that colour's not very popular'. No-one has yet found a colour he thinks will sell hehe

This was not " I will give you less because of the colour ".
It was " I don't want your car as a trade in, at any price, even if you buy a new TVR from me, because of the colour."

He may have been heading towards " OK, I give you this for it ", but actualy lost the sale of a new 500 as a result of this.

This reminds me of the bloke who painted his Cerby Claret and Blue yes
Had a right game selling it on at a vast loss IIR and was blamed squarely on the colour combo.

I guess there will be a few owners in this situation scratchchin

Imperial Blue pearl as the sun is setting over the Cotswolds, parked on top of a hill having owned it for a week, and taking photos of the new P and J. Dont get much better than that for me. But owning one whatever the colour is all that really matters, isn't it? bow
