Is the front wheel bearing a ford part? If so whats it from or does anyone have a part number, need to grab one from the local factors ot ford dealer if possible.

QWB532 (L) and QWB533 (R) - Sierra Xr4i is one, but IIRC they are used on 100s of Fords if you check the QH parts list.

Is there a definitive answer where the front uprights/carriers etc come from? There seems to be a bit of conflicting advice around.

(96 is my particular year of interest)

Pretty sure they are just standard Sierra uprights.
The cosworth ones are different.

It's the "pretty sure" that makes me nervous... I'm planning on actually spending some money here hehe

These aren't the ones sold by the motorsport place in Chesterfield are they Dave. The ones I bought didn't fit the bottom balljoint and I had to have them reemed out.

I actually had to so an hours work or so either side of being taken out for lunch today and its obviously been too much for me.

I'll take it easy tomorrow when normal service will be resumed biggrin

bought some wheel bearings myself recently, try bearingsuk, a shop on ebay, very cheap and quick delivery. about 16 each if memory serves me.

You only need one each side, please don't bother telling us what you used 16 for.... you may get Jigs'ed yikes

SO WHAT ARE THE FRONT WHEEL BEARING PART NUMBERS THEN ????? tHERES NO MENTION OF THEM IN EITHER THE CHIM OR GRIF ALTERNATIVE SPARES LIST.
