In the middle of the winter tinkering with the car. Friend of mine has had his Range Rover injectors upgraded by Mark Adams and I wonder if its worth doing the same.

His injectors were standard producing a stream of fuel, the new ones produce a fine mist. His engine now does 19mpg from a 5.3 litre 390bhp V8Developments lump. God honest! Its as mooth as silk now.

Anyone know whatthee injectors are?

I expect that they're the Bosch ones that Mark sells. You could ask Mark to sell you a set, Austec have sold them in the past and probably still do, I understand that Joolz (TrackCar) had a line on some similar injectors that were a lot cheaper. The Bosch ones produce a much better looking spray pattern than the Lucas disc ones. They also flow significantly more fuel. Curiously, rolling road results seem to indicate that (unless you need more fuel than the Lucas injectors can provide) peak power is actually better with the Lucas injectors.

The Bosch injectors cost £200ish from Five-o-Motorsport,and are a straightforward swap, but will also need mapping(pricey!).Unfortunately it seems they cost ultimate BHP-on high powered RV8's at least, but do improve driveability slightly lower down if running a wild cam.Imho i wouldn't bother changing them unless absolutely necesary, there are better things to spend the money onsmile.
Edited to add that the above is when comparing to std injectors with uprated fuel pressure(3.0 bar) to provide the extra fueling.

I have a leaking injector on the Chimaera and am thinking of replacing the whole set rather than cleaning and risking the fact that it is beyond repair. Its 4.0l so I don't think that I need bigger injectors (although in a reasonable state of tune). I thought the below looked interesting - they appear to be a newer version of the original design. They sell 24lb ones as well. Anyone had any experience of theses guys/injectors?

MA fitted Bosch injectors to my Griff some 2 years ago. I was running a fairly wild cam and I wanted to improve running at lower revs. Also the diagnostics showed that the std Lucas set were unable to supply sufficient fuel above 4,500 revs. Both problems were resolved after the Bosch injectors were fitted during the RR & setup. No problems since - so well happy.
