Does anyone know of anyone who makes seat mounting braces? I really want mine braced to the chassis to prevent any movement and to brace up the original mounting points in the fibreglass which are showing signs of cracking.

Jools at Trackcar Solutions can make them for you in high strength steel as required for motorsport use. These should be top of eve ryones list when you think how little side protection there is on these cars. Hope this helps.

hehe Nothing, they were like that when I got it, honest biggrin

Dunno why they weren't anchored to the chassis in the first place. Surely the car would give more feedback that way? Even if it doesn't, I want some plates to mount mine a bit more solidly. Has anyone come across and ready made ones?

Looing at the chassis it might using the floor bolts as they come through triangular plates.

Just a thought.

That's where I'd pick them up. Four holes in a flat plate would anchor the rear a treat yes

Dave at Tower View probably has them on the shelf - well in his new workshop in Norfolk. Should still be contactable through the Tower View numbers.

Ah, that's probably why it's been a pain to reach them in the weeks before the festive period... Need to uprate my front discs from the puny 240 mm stockers while using the OE callipers (have bought DS2500 all round)....

I simply cut two substantial strips of mild steel with holes drilled as appropriate. They are as wide and as long as the floor pan moulding will allow. It certainly firms up the fixing when used with proper seat mounts that also sit hard against the floor on the inside. Not as nice as a fixing to the chassis, but considerably better than standard.

Just checked mine and the rear ones have cracked the floor pan. No I'm not a lard ar*e I think it happened when I had an off at Oulton Park. Hang on just I've caught myself in the mirror so scratch that..........

Is anyone willing to say how they were fixed and how I can mend/improve them? There is always something

I mailed Joolz this morning and he doesn't do an off-the-shelf solution as such, but welds steel sections to the chassis that picks up the seat bolt points.
