TVR Golf Day 2008

Hi all,

I'm new to all this TVR stuff having just bought my first Chimaera... I have been looking around and noticed that you guys haven't got a golf day organised for this year. I thought this was very strange and so thought I would suggest the third weekend in June if thats good for all you guys.

From the TVRCC site..Chimp section. Manages to get boating and golf references in. Sometimes it is nice to see what problems other owners have..


'Having jacked up the blunt end to examin possible fault with drop bar links and to try and find a rattle that had been around for some time, I came across an amusing yet simple solution. The previous owner and indeed myself played golf. The boot was empty, but on the right hand side,off side for the technical, or starboard for the boating chaps, there is a slot between the fuel tank and boot floor carpet. I found two old golf balls had found the gap and were rattling around between the body and fuel tank. problem solved. '

They asked for new names and logos for the Chimpfest.

When they published a list of proposed names they had only forgotten one proposal.........mine.

The cheek of it.

I wanted to call it..

ChimPride

It works on several levels.
Pride in your Chim.

Pride, a group of lions, an animal that makes up part of the mythical beast that is their namesake.

Chimp Ride, a group riding event.

And the chance for us to compare it to 'gay pride'
