Any local engineering shop could do that using yours as a pattern. It's done by grinding the end of a drill flat.

Wouldn't fancy driving east late on a summers evening with one fitted though.

I thought they did a couple of different stainless dashes, but i'm not sure which dsigns though. They seem to be most well known for them,so i'd try them first mate.

Pasco would polish any finish off within 5 minutes - you know he can't help himself!

It's known as a "turned" finish. Interestingly I took my dash out over the weekend, which has a brushed stainless finish on the driver's side, but would you believe it has a turned finish on the reverse! Perhaps TVR bought their metal sheet finished differently on both sides to save having excess stock lying around?

As for the glare when the sun is low, with the brushed finish I was concerned about this when I bought the car but it's very rarely a problem TBH.

As I understand it the factory made two versions of the alloy dash - the spun one as seen above, and the textured one like mine:

And the third version like mine, which is brushed.... (think satin) Haven't got any photos in a web album ATM I'm afraid. I'll e-mail BB because I can't sign-up to The Griffith Pages either for some reason and then add some if it helps?

No worries, I prefer walnut anyway smile

Ally dashes are a PITA when there's a low sun behind you.

I have the textured alloy one and haven't had problems with low sun. But I do keep it matt.

The alloy dash option looks good with some colour schemes, but not others.

The turned one does look better, but I thought it was only ever fitted to the last 100 SE's. Are they available elsewhere, or do you have to convert to SE spec?

Check out the op pic that's a normal spec Griff yes

I must get round to giving LT a call to see if it is one they can get hold of or have made smile
