Mine has decided to give up the ghost so I got a new one from halfords and have got it fitted but it still wont latch?!! Spent ages adjusting the bottom latch all sorts of different positions and it just doesnt seem to want to catch. it seems like the bottom catch is not high enough to go all the way into the top latch. I know it works because i tried the bottom latch manually (i.e without it being attached to the glovebox and it catches fine) Any ideas/help much appreciated!!

I put velcro on mine and tightened up the allen key bolts either side as in 1 year I had 3 catches break.

I had a similar problem with mine and sorted it be adjusting the lateral positon of the glove box. You can do this by adjusting the pivot bolts. Mine only needed a fine adjustment. Easy to try, only takes a couple of minutes.

If you're fed up with the standard plastic rubbish there's a solution in this thread here about 2/3rds of the way down.

Or alternativley just change it for a brass cupboard catch like I have.

I tried those but they don't seem to have the strength to hold the lid shut and it dropped open when there were a few things in the box and the car went over a bump frown
