....are an emotive subject I know so I won't even mention actual colours. What I was wondering is if anyone had any idea how/if I could find out how many of each colour Griff were manufactured, are there any records of such things ?

The reason I ask is that I have never seen an advert, blog etc relating to another car other than my own for my cars' colour. This is obviously a good thing if it transpires to be unique (doubtful I know), a bad thing in that only one person liked the colour enough to buy a car in it, which says too much for my liking about their (and my) taste.

Anyone any ideas ?

Cheers.

Andy.

I believe its black with a green hint in certain light from certain angels..... smile a merc colour I'm led to believe...

I've also heard of a mystical yellow flip flop coloured one, which I believe is a one off in the Griff (not sure if any other models in that colour)...... anyone claim to own it hehe

Andy,

There's a TVR colours Wiki list on the 'General TVR Stuff & Gossip' pages.

I don't think TVR really kept an accurate log of all the cars they made, (judging by the estimated production figures in Steve Heath's bible) let alone the colours they were sprayed. You never know though ?!?!

The Wiki is probably the best bet as it'll build over time. smile

I have a list of over 500 TVR colours & codes in an excel spreadsheet supplied to me by kevin63 - unfortunately it's too much to go into the wiki. irked If anyone would like it to make it available to the TVR Massive let me know.

Black... with a green tinge when looked at from odd angles... amerc colour apparently, I know cerb in this colour.

Odd but there a lot of cars I know who are considering falt resprays jus for ease of touching up, rather then resprat complate sections for v minor imperfections

Yeah sorry, need to get my ass in gear and get some pictures. It is Halcyon Hebrides. It appears black except in strong sunlight, or under the lights of a petrol filling station when it looks like a v. dark metallic british racing green.

I bought the car thinking it was black (cloudy day), and sh1t myself when I finally noticed on the V5 it said the car was green. Spoke to the dealer who supplied it and they reassured me that this colour was described as green, and that it's the colour the car was supplied as. Then spent a week trying to get some sunshine on it to see if it looked remotely green, didn't really happen until I took it to Le Mans last year, and between the piss1ng showers I could eventually see some green in it.

I will post some piccies but frankly you would struggle to tell it was anything but black. Looks good with a tan interior, nice contrast, and with it being both black and green I guess it must be one of the faster ones ! biglaugh

Thanks for the input as to how to find out and please let me now if you come accross an ad for one.

Cheers

We're not certain of it's authenticity though - I'd get anything double checked before you end up painting your beautiful green car a slow colour like blue or red by mistake. wink
