Over the weekend I noticed that the lights on the offside of the Griff are not as bright as the nearside...scratchchin.... is it like this on all Griffs or have I got a dodgy earth point on the offside? Any ideas appreciated.

Can't detect a difference with mine, I'd start by checking earths as you suggest.

Think your probably right mate, I wus just wondering if it's something to do with the feed coming off the nearside for both lights, longer run more V drop.

Your very likely correct , I have fitted Xenon headlights and the offside does not 'ignite' unless engine running or battery at full charge. Nearside always does regardless . I`m pretty sure this is a known problem and can be fixed with a relay and wiring . wobble

I've seen this effect(subtle) when the modwise brighter lights kit is fitted,so perhaps you have this?

That's an interesting notion, I haven't fitted it myself but maybe the previous owner did, I'll check for it.

Absolutely imposible for the offside to be duller, sorry. Maybe the nearside as its the original wiring for both sides but not used for both.

Its quite common apparently that a relay and alt wiring is required on one side just to start up the Hids wink Alternatively you could replace part of the loom with higher capacity cables, fusebox to nearside is quite easy, & run a couple of extra cables for the fans at the same time (@3m IIRC & there were spare sockets in the existing connectors on mine)
