Yay, they've finally been test fitted to the car... And they fit biggrin

Here they are at manufacture.

310 x 28 of quick release brakage heaven biggrin

Actually fitted to the car

And there's plenty of clearance. Yes, that's the first cheeky peek at my new Compomotive MO6's

No affiliation and I haven't actually put them to the test yet but you lucky people can now buy an off the shelf kit for £750 from Compbrake

They better bloody work after all this.

Very nice they look too Rob smile

I must say out of all the mods made to my car the Brakes and Suspension were by far the best value for money yes

So before all of you Newbies start down the road of More HP make sure this stuff is sorted first thumbup

Completely agree. I wasn't lacking in oomph last year, I was more concerned about my ability to get the power down or to stop in time. yikes Compared to the sublime brakes on my old Porker the std ones simply didn't cut it. I found I was backing off with power still in hand a lot of the time. I'm only going to upgrade the engine when I feel she's running out of power which hopefully the winters upgrades will allow.

IMO going quickly isn't just about BHP, it's about the whole package.

Pasco - when you say the suspension do you just mean you replaced the dampers or was there more required to make it a good drive. Mine wallows like a boat and I have been assuming that I need to fit upgraded dampers when I put it in for its next service in May.

All I want is for it to feel secure. What do you think?

Pasco Schmasco... Yes, wallowing does wound like worn dampers but I'd be inclined to fit a poly bush kit at the same time yes

In fact, I have biggrin

Thanks - do the poly bushes make the ride a lot harder?

LF - I know exactly what you mean about your car wallowing like a boat - mine used to be like that too.
I installed a set of GAZ nickel dampers (and springs obviously) and it was amazing how it changed the characteristics of the car. Making it feel much more planted to the road.
I hope this doesn't degenerate into the usual debate about the various dampers but I wanted to reassure you it is money well spent as it isn't a cheap thing to do.
Getting the geo done too is well worth the money.

Best upgrade I ever fitted was the rose jointed ARB links. Totally transformed the handling, if you are changing the suspension make sure you change the ARBs.
