I have just got my Griff back from Off Your Marks, following a Zymol Royale wax. I am absolutely blown away by the results, and I've posted a couple of pictures. The finish is fantastic and the car looked brand new inside and out when I picked her up.

Matt, who did the work, was really helpful and very flexible about the pick up and drop off times. I don't normally gush about this sort of thing, but I really can't believe how much work has been done for the cash. Matt clearly loves what he is doing, and it shows in his approach and the stunning results. I could literally shave in the reflection off the bodywork.

If anyone is thinking about giving their Griff a treat before the Summer, I really can't recommend this guy enough.

I know its only a matter of time before the next stone chip, but the way the car looks at the moment, I can't help but show it off on the road as much as possible!

Cheers,

Pete

You know, I'm not entirely sure. The car was orginally Antique Turqouise, but when I had the car resprayed in Germany a couple of years ago, they couldn't match the paint up. They got as close a match as they could, but I didn't get the new paint code off them - my german (v. poor) and their english (embarrasingly good, but not perfect) wasn't quite up to it!

They did re-paint the whole car for the same qoute as doing the nose cone and rear wings though!

How long did the process take? and what was the cost?
I would seriously consider this after my next front end respay.

I live quite a way from where Off Your Marks are based (live in Wilts and he's based North West) so I dropped the Griff off one weekend, and picked it up a couple of weekends later. This time was more due to me not having time off work and other commitments to pick up any earlier. I believe that the work itself was done in a single day, two at most. If you can tie down a date with Matt, I'm pretty sure it could be done on the same day.

The price for doing the interior and exterior was 345 pounds, but I think that was a special offer. I think he varies according to which wax product is used and how much work you want done. Whilst I initially thought this was a bit spicy for getting my car cleaned, I now think it was money very well spent and will be having it done again. I really can't believe how much effort has been put into the car!

I had mine detailed last year - it took about 12 hours in total for the exterior only! That was three consecutive nights, after work. Well worth the money and effort though IMO.

Exemplary . . . Really!

But for me -

A rare sunny Sunday morning and:

1. kettle 'on'
2. make a brew
3. tranny (not that type) placed on garden wall and switched to 'on'
4. hose down P & J
5. chat to passers-by whilst using the items below

6. Fill up with £345 worth of high octane and go for a blast!

When you consider that the Zymol Royale polish is £7500 for an 8 oz tub i think £345 is a bargain yes

I would be most interested to know how long it keeps its shine thumbup

Put it this way ... you won't need to polish it for the rest of the year. At least i didn't when I had the Carrera Zymolled.

Hello Al how you doing buddy ? the Frezza looks good yes do you miss the Griff even slightly ?

As for the Zymol your saying even after a wash you just buff it up with a cloth and its back to how it looks like in the Atlantis Griff pic's at the top of the page ?

Hi Paul, Im good thanks, and your Griff is looking very well yes

Have to say, the only time I miss the Griff is on a lovely sunny day like today, but then only for a fleeting second. If I ever become extremely wealthy then I would have another Griff as an "as well as" ... but only after i buy my old Carrera back as another "as well as" biggrin

The Zymol was superb for me, I just washed it with the normal Meguires shampoo and it always looked lovely and shiney. However, mine was a white car, so on a dark car it might not keep the shiney appearance as long.

The real beauty was getting it clay barred so the panel surfaces were as smooth as silk. Don't know whether I would pay £350 though. I arranged it with my local guy to fit in around him and he did it for £200.
