Griffith 500 Immobiliser/alarm
Discussion
Hi all
After many years of waiting I found myself last year in a position to buy a Griffith 500, did all the searching saw a few and settled on a 1999 low mileage (22000(ish)(Reg: T442 JEL anyone know any history?) from Mole Valley. Picked it up on December 15th 2007.
On the way home I felt that the power steering pump was making a rather funny noise. Long story short time! Local dealer Offord Motor Company replaced the pump, Mole Valley picked up the bill all OK. Well almost all! that is until 10 days later the beast decides that the immobiliser should refuse to mobilise! RAC called transporter back to Offord Motor Co. Here we are 3 weeks later still no car. I must say at this point that Simon @ Offord has been really helpful, and this posting is not critisising the company in anyway.
However, does anyone have any tips/hints on alternative alarms or the possibility of disconnecting the immobiliser or making it easy to disconnect if the fault occurs again?
If I ever get the car to drive I'm sure it'll be the dogs!
Thanks for taking the time to read this enormous posting

Dave
Back again
Thanks for all the replies about the immobilser.
Latest news is Offord MC were given Karls details by Mole Valley. Offord are now posting immobiliser/alarm of to Karl who is going to "reprogramme" the system?
Offord have suggested that I should get the car back next Friday (14th)
Can anyone confirm when the next TVR Herts & Beds meeting is due to take place?
