There was a TV series a few years ago where someone - possibly Nigel Havers - drove a Griff.

can think of a few TV shows where a Griff featured...

a doctor in an episode of casualty drove one of the 8 or so 4.5 Griffs IIRC and also another show where Rik Mayall and a well known actress (IIRC) had one of the original factory Griffs...

ETA

Lovejoy,

The man who made husbands jealous,

Sommer (German film i think)

pretty much all Tivs featured in films & Telly (even unintentionally!) can be found here - http://www.imcdb.org/vehicles_make-TVR.html

Theyre missing one though, from a top gear test with Tiff Needel, which also went into the TVR 50th anniversay special vid called 'Blackpool Rock' wink

The 1993 500 in the film 'sommer' intrigues me a bit(rhd on foreign plates),was this an ex show car or something?

Mike,

it's the Rasberry press Griff, for sale here:

http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/310937.htm

For under £9k with 'celluloid' and press provenance it seems to be a steal. Perhaps it would compliment your stable wink

No mention of my Griff in the Dancing Queen short film either (Rik Mayall and Helena Bonham-Carter for info)?
I'm also interested in the ocean haze 500 as it looks suspiciously like mine but with 500 wheels which would be easy to change although the reg doesn't like right but I can't see it clearly and it looks like Ford side repeaters. But it was released in October 2006 so depends on when these bits were filmed I guess

You can read the registration? I couldn't - but its certainly not a DVLA one!

Think a few of you are getting a bit mixed up... the picture 'titles' are above not below the images hehe

It was originally a 4.5 for an episode or so. After that, it was my black 500 pretending to be a 4.5 smile

RTFT... Mike said he was interested in the Ocean Haze Griff
...
Ben said its for sale....

I pointed out Mike was referring to the OHaze one, he knew (even had details which he shared) of the L118 car...

The reg of the OHaze one is not clear but XX XX ###, looks like a German plate, but I can't make out the region letters (from the links if you follow them).

Dave
You have splashed all over me! If you don't understand any of my sayings, come to me in private and I shall take you in my German mouth. Alles klar?hehe

ETA:forgot nice picture wink

It has a 500 front end,Paul,so must surely be another car in the same/similar colour scheme? To my knowlege there was never a 500 press car in this colour combo,so i'm wondering if it was an ex show car or somesuch?
