Any tricks to retensioning the roof struts? While I'm fitting the roof it makes sense to even the tension up. I was thinking of slotting the upper mounting or putting a packing washer under the lower mount on the offending side but wondered if there was a better way before I start. The difference isn't great, but I might as well get it right while I'm fiddling!

You can use packing washers and slots for fine tuning, but the best way to tension the struts is to stitch the hood/rear window accordingly.

Stitch??? Not on your nelly biggrin The tension is uneven without the roof fitted so I wanted that right before I started. All done now smile

While fitting the new roof, I used a fan heater to keep the roof/window soft and pulled it as tight as possible while placing it onto the contact adhesive. Quite straight forward, the window and struts are now as tight as a drum.

Soz if that's too late.

Cheers,

Simon.
