Help,
I am gearing up to put the Mega Squirt on the the Griff bounce, all parts have been sourced except one.
Hence this post, I am wanting to use the exsisting wiring loom and plug the Megasquirt straight in. To do this I need to find the current LUCUS 14CUX ecu plug. 40 pins 13/14/13. I've tried the usual sites with no luck type, I'm trying to avoid buying a second hand ECU from ebay which will be costly in comparison.
help. scratchchin

Do you mean you want the 40 pin socket from the ecu? Surely the only way to get that is to butcher an ecu?
Any 14CUX from ebay will do - I once bought one for 99p.
If you want the loom plug, there was one on ebay for £2.50 a week ago. "Partsrange" in Wiltshire I think. He breaks Range Rovers and sells the looms from time to time.

There has been some experience of the orignial loom causing issues with false readings etc . . . There is also a huge amount of 'stuff' that is completely surplus to requirement.

Worth considering when going through the installation. Good luck.

Thats how I did mine, got an old Lucas Box. Chopped the pins out inside then soldered to them the megasquirt loom. No problems at all runs great and easy to revert back should you need to smile

Yes that's exactly what I want to do ( 40 pin in the ecu), if it comes to it I will have to buy an old ECU and chop it, but good to hear it has work for someone elce.

Just out of interest Balistic, do you normally wear a hard hat in that garage ? not to be fair that mine looks any less precarious overhead.

To be fair . . . that's my loom I'm holding in my rather narrow, single garage . . and yes, there is a shed load of stuff in the roof as it's the only place for it all . . . There's even shelving on the side you can't see but that's full of liquids etc for the cars . .

No shed either, so the garden tools are all hanging up along the side of the car as well . .

Thanks gents, taking the loom out is a set to far for my skill spin
But if anybody else knows where to find the connector just give me a shout, I'm still waiting to hear from the previous suggested company.
