???Oil pressure!!!

Hi there, can anyone help with my query, my griff [ 94 preserp ] runs at about 35 psi when warm and above 1500rpm but the needle jumps to 45psi at 1000rpm, could this be the oil pressure relief valve? Any ideas welcome, cheers, John.

Yep sounds like it you could try cleaning the contact it might help

Opps just read your post again I think its more likey to be the oil pressure sender (which is whats in the photo) than the oil pressure relief valve.

That takes me back a couple of years ago when i was doing around 70 leptons down the M1 and that wire in the pic fell off

0 oil pressure reading on the guage i st my pants i can tell you but what a relief when i found the problem

With the readings being the wrong way round, you might have a mucky sump blocking the pickup ~ gasket / goo rubystems.. I thought the needle just fell off when the gauge went offline, don't recall tales of it reading higher as the revs dropped?
