Window motor

I have tried belting it, wiggling it, squirting it and shouting obscenities at it and still the B$%*&"d wont work!!
Does anyone know where the window motor for a 92 4.3 is sourced from or has anyone got one lying around they wish to change for some of your fine English punts??

Take the door panel off and you'll find a conector plug (one of several), check the feed. they get wet and corroded. Clean and put a bit of vaseline (ooh eer)on the conections / re-assemble. If it IS the motor' you can get another from your local Citroen dealer or motor factors. Not fortunes

I to have had various problems with my windows, as a result I have a pair of new Bosh window motors they may be the same as yours

But before you go to the expense of changing motors have you got a feed and earth to the motor?

OK so after stripping cleaning and rebuilding this sodding motor it works for about 3 days then seizes again. You can hear the motor click when you move the switch but no action. It always sticks when fully raised and always bursts into life once its unscrewed from the regulator. I have to assume the motor is knackered.
i have heard the motor originates from VW's/Citroens and best of all the Fiat 131!!
Somebody must know for sure. Pleeeese put me out of my misery and yes ive tried the nylon lube from Halfords!

The motor externally is fairly standard ish... It's a Bosch unit that is used in various different forms in many applications. Downside is that Bosch do not sell it seperately. Yes it looks very similar to that fitted to Citroen/Peugeot/VW/Volvo/Ford etc but the internal shaft and screw fittings which you can't see may vary. Only way to find out is to remove the motor and compare.
Worth checking that the mechanism is free to move with the motor removed.

I got a replacement mechanism from a Chimaera that was being scrapped for £70. Solved the problem. A new mechnaism from TVR is around £140 ish. It might be a Skoda system but and this is a big but I have no confirmation of this at all.

Based on tip at the last Hants meet I took the Speaker out, found the connector and now have a working passenger side window - I didn't use it and the roof is off most of the time.

Just thought I'd pass it on....
