Just a quick question.....
I'm after the distance between the pipes out the back of a Griff, centre to centre or inner edge to inner edge is fine and I'm guessing the pipes are the same diameter as Chimaeras and Cerbs. scratchchin

Working on a little project to design some trackday silencers that could be used on the road as well as the track without sticking out the back of the car too much. wink
Currently looking at a price point a little higher than the conventional trackday silencers but not a lot, and considering they could be fitted if you're planning a long run, or if the local bib have moaned about your Db levels I think they may be a good idea, depends on interest levels as well though. rotate

I have had some ideas about this too. It does sound like a good idea.

I have to wonder if Clive will complete the stunning new mainifolds with a full exhaust system?

Purpose made to maximise the advantages of the new manifolds, but with enough silencing to stop us geting kicked off at track days.

hehe not the full exhaust I`m afraid, no room under the car to run a twin pipe system all the way through without a serious compromise to ground clearance, as for silencing, well I`ve had to make some internal tail silencers for mine, but its a straight through system anyway, so its been far to loudhehe

You could take it out the front, and make a combined splitter / exhaust system hehe

If you have a look at Per Terje's LS2 conversion on the Griff pages he has run twin 2.5" pipes at least past a modified scatterguard type bellhousing. The pictures don't show how they run after that.
