Assuming you have the std 16"&15" combo wheels, then TVR fitted anything from 225-245 width rears,245x45 being my personal favourite. The fronts were normally 205 width on non pas cars, and a 205x55 should suit you fine. Many have used slightly differing sizes, and it's not uncommon to see up to 225 width on unassisted cars, with owners reporting no issues.
All this is fine so long as you can still get the sizes you want in a decent brand.Last i heard you had to use either Toyo's and/or Dunlops.

Its a fact that all Z rated 15inch tyres are becoming a little scarce so don't be tempted to use anything less than a Z rating as you will certainly have insurance issues yes

This is another reason people opt for 16 or 17inch wheels all round smile

I'm running 205/50/15 on front which makes the following available in the right ratings (w or above) if you want

Toyo R888's (raod legal track), Avon ZZR (road legal track), Dunlop Sp 9000 (road), Michelen Pilot Exalto 2

or v rated plenty available with Toyo T1Rs being the fav ... best advice is to inform insurance company most are ok with this option

I've had absolutely no problem when talking to insurance companies about the tyres when I was looking around for quotes. They weren't bothered and all seemed to be aware of the issue.

Just to ensure that there is no issue should a claim arised I sent a letter back with the application form I completed stating that the tyres were w rated and why (along with the other minor mods I've made).

Lets hope that is the situation should you be unfortunate enough to have to claim yes

As for me i would never fit a lower rated tyre than the ones it came out of the factory with which according to the Bible page 333 is a ZR Tyre.

Good luck Colin

I have Falken Fk452 on the recommendation of a number of posters on this forum and others on PH. Very impressed both dry and particularly wet! Z rating so no probs if you are concerned about that.
