Hello folks,

took the yellow one out today and after a good blast smelt burnt oil when I pulled up at home, obviously dripping onto hot exhaust.

Have'nt noticed an unusual difference in oil loss so must only be a drip or two but noticeably smelt and sure I saw a puff of smoke.

Smell etc only lasted for matter of seconds so guessing its being blown back when in motion...!!

Valley gasket maybe...!! anyone had similar issues.

Check your rocker cover gaskets these often leak and oil runs down on to the manifolds or down the bell housing.

Thanks for pointers guys.
Have checked power steering hoses and they were all upgraded 2 yrs back.

Had engine rebuild around 3 yrs ago(only done 8k miles since)and rocker covers were fitted with the plastic gaskets and not cork, could this be an issue.
Is it possible they are leaking at the rear had a look down the back of the engine with a torch and theres definately a small amount of oil sat at the back of the valley where it meets the bell housing....!!!

Have also seen on another thread that its possible the gearbox could be leaking oil... not sure where and if easy fix tho.

Gonna get him booked into Topcats me thinks..

Cheers.
