tapping into ignition feed relay
Discussion
I'm trying to put in three new power feeds to supply coil packs and edis 8,
I've taken the car apart e.g fuse box off the bulkhead and found what I believe is the ignition feed relay I can find again what I believe is the outputs, by trial with a volt meter.
The question is has anyone elce done this or see any issue if I tap off these connectors to give me the supplies, I'm worried about buring something out.

Adrian..
I have justed finished MSIIing my Griff.. fantasic experience.. and now you can learn from my mistakes.
I'd install a new relay near where you will put the ECU.. that way you'll have +12V for the MS, an EGO controller, an EGO digital display if needed and to the coil packs. That what you have a single supply and it's easy to trace if something doesn't work. I took +12V in the loom to the 14CUX to drive the relay..
Good luck

I always (OK, twice!) use a separate new loom that takes 12v and switched ignition feeds from the main car loom and provides the fuses and relays to power the ECU and the fuel pump/lambda heaters/injectors/coils. I think this is a lot safer and easier than trying to cannibalise the existing loom.
The MS guys actually do have a relay module that takes care of all of this but to be honest I didn't like the look of it, there were exposed PCBs and cables with no strain relief, looked to me like a problem waiting to happen.

Ok I think understand the relay thing now I've had time to think about it.
am I right in saying then.
If I had a small relay box itself linked to the battery directly, but used say the main relay to turn it on and off a (normal make and break relay), I could then, if the new relay was rated at the correct amp's I could get all the supplies I need.
