Help Required ! 10k 3 leg potentiometer? (Griff 500)
Discussion
Well that's what it sounded like anyway!
Having had a problem for years with the heater control panel on my Griff 500 I decided to drop it in at my local chap for repair. The problem is the blower only fires air up the windscreen into my face and won't redirect through to the floor. Having dismantled the motors under the passenger footwell and dashboard, the offending piece of plastic surfaced- a blackened / blown switch of some sort. It has been described as in the title above, but to me it is a small (1.2cm) circular actuating switch about 3mm deep with a very small turnable hole in the middle which goes right through the centre. It is cased in black plastic with 2 solder points, the reverse being metal backed with a small white circular plastic sleave insert.
We can read PIHER SPAIN on the front and 10K 803M on the side.
We also think the same switch is used to direct air to the bottom footwell vents and also regulate the hot / cold water circulation if that helps!
The $64,000.00 question.. where can I get my hands on one (preferably several) so as to put the car back to its former glory?
Your help will as always be greatly appreciated.

From memory there are two sizes of these pots. One is 15mm on the earlier cars, and the other size is 10mm found on the later cars.I searched high and low for the larger version, before some nice chap at Piher told me they were no longer available. You can still find the 10mm version(maplins,rs or similar),though even these are starting to get scarce.Having had a problem for years with the heater control panel on my Griff 500 I decided to drop it in at my local chap for repair.
