HI There EsDavy
Nicely caught at Druids!, did Brands the following day with Sean Edwards; my first track day in my recently bought Griff 500.It was not quite as wet as in your post but greasy nether the less.I did manage to spin the car at the last apex before the straight but luckily no contact with other cars or barriers.Other than that it was a blast but also very nerve racking as the track was swarming with some very quick cars including a yellow cerbera which was ragging around the track.Sean by the way was an unbeleivably patient instructor: top bloke!

Seb, its good to get a few track days in per year. I always feal nervous and get passed on a regular basis by Lotus, Porsche etc but I think :
a> I'm on standard tyres & those boys are normally on semi-slicks (888's etc)
b> Porsche, Lotus spent millions on chassis R&D, TVR didnt
c> I want to drive home so if in doubt, pull over.

Off to Bedford this Saturday. My top curcuits for TVR's are :
1> Oulton - its got it all !
2> Donnington - fast & flowing
3> Bedford - bit flat but great layout
4> Cadwell - tight but I can still think my way round each corner when bored !

yep definitely would like to do an airfield day like Bedford or Abingdon;more room for errorspin only hurdle is my Griff has a static noise level of 105 to 108db at 3800/4000 revs and I am a bit loath to get some mufflers, though I have beem told by ACT that their track mufflers do let the engine breath fine.May give them a go.Have a good one at Bedford.

Thurleigh / Bedford is a great circuit. I now need a spare set of rims and 888's ..... its getting serious !
