I've had a look on the Griff Pages for the replacement part no listed as 082348, however mine have Cibie 0488047 marked on them (well one has the other is smashed).

....are these the same units, just with updated parts numbers ?

I guess I'll need 2, as one new shinny one will look odd against a 15 year old one.

.... I'm not sure about the BMW parts listed on the Griff pages, the will probably fit and are made by Bosch.

oh and while I'm at it..... what is H1 & H4 in terms of bulbs?

They are H1 bulbs, H4's have dipped and main. You have H1 in both mains and dip's on your car.

Just realised I've got oe broken having just put in 2 brand new ones frown Maybe it happened in the accident . ..

mine has had also the cibies,

as much as i remember the hella-ones (token from a car-dump) also fitted exactly.
My costs: 15 EUR per lamp.

Think that the bosch-ones will do also.
Any driving lamp (meaning the smaller one of the lamps) that is compatible to the BMW E30 series will fit into the Griff.

Sorry for my bad technical english, but hope you unterstand what i want to say.

kindest regards

LL
