Valuation help
Discussion
Unfortunately I need to sell my Griff due to impending house purchase
I bought it from Fernhurst last December for £17k and am after an idea of valuation.
It is a 1996 N reg, dark blue with magnolia, 36k miles, no mods, full history with Mole Valley and Fernhurst (all invoices from new) and in very good condition. I know it is difficult to place exact value on it given these cars vary but ballpark is fine.
Thanks for any help
Craig

thanks for your comments guys
car is pretty standard with half hide and no power steering
had one owner until mid 2007 and then a second owner until Dec 2007
I spoke to Fernhurst a couple of months ago and they reckoned they would retail it for £16k and they could return me £12k
appreciate I will lose out but just wanted to check whether it was worth the effort of a private sale

There are not many well cared for cars out there, loads of average ones.
If your car is in superior condition, don't sell yourself short, ask a superior price.
I think most of us are prepared to pay more for a quality car - and I'd expect a Fernies car to be such a specimen.

It's a very saleable colour combo, good mileage, low no. of owners. If the rest stacks up it's a very desireable one. When your selling it's all to easy to think you have nothing special, and you can drop your guard a bit when you see the prices of the more average stuff.Remember what you've got,and why it was that you bought it!

Craig, dont do it. Add £115/m onto the mortgage payments instead & live life. If you sell for £14k, will take you 2 years to make up the £3k lost.
thanks - it's more to do with garage space to be honest and the Lambos take priority
