Depends on what/who's head bolts you are using?

hi rob, havent stripped the heads down just thought I`d check them whilst I was working on the top end, assume the bolts are standard from when the engine was built, but cant be sure.
engine being a 96 serp.
or is it best to leave it alone if no problems?

If they're stretch bolts (as I think they were on 10 bolt heads - but don't take my word for it) leave them alone.

If they're not, they should be torqued to 70 lb-ft (V8D recommendation). However that figure is for initial build and then check after 500 miles and assumes clean threads etc.

To be honest, if you've no reason to suggest the heads aren't sealing right, I'd leave well alone.

Not sure if studs are possible with a griff / chim due to the cyl head being under the windscreen (I think..) might be clearance issues.

Sparks - can you take the heads off in situ or does the engine have to be removed / moved forward.
