Battery choice?
Discussion
Mine failed about 100 yards from a Halford branch, so I got an assistant out and asked him to find one that would suit.
From my limited knowledge of these things, you need to get:
1) The correct CCA (cold cranking amps) - about 620 IIRC
2) Correct shape terminals so your leads fit
3) Correct physical size or it won't go in the battery box

Isn't supposed to have a vent outlet? or does no one bother with this anymore. I have a small plastic pipe connected to mine to vent the fumes into the wheel arch.

I bought a Varta E12 680A 5 year warranty battery. Top make and very powerful. Like many batteries you will need to trim the feet off with a knife or hacksaw but easily done. Whatever battery you buy make sure terminals are the correct way round as cables may not be long enough to reach.
