Griffith 500 (last 100 built) Windscreen Washer pipe run.
Anyone know the route of the plastic tube? From the washer bottle the tube immeadiately dissapears throught the (double-skinned) inner wing. It emerges inside the car, drivers foot well, running up the RH sidewall then up under the dash.
Used the washers last night, and I have water pouring out (with the pump running) underneath the car on the drivers side of the central transmission tunnel. Presumably, the tube at some point runs externally under the car - near the exhaust perhaps? Another job for the axle stands?

Had the same problem last year. it showed itself at the MOT. Tube had come off under the dash, and was dropping the water on the ground under passenger side. Had to cut hole in bulkhead under bonnet and take the bonnet catch off and fiddle around until could get hold of the end of the tube. Then fitted a blanking plate back over the hole. A real pain headache

You can unbolt the dash and go through that side and hide the mess! You still have to cut the bulkhead - lovely design!!!!!!!!!!

Is it possible to attach a new length of tube with tape and use the old tube as a draw wire to pull it through?

The problem is access to the space under the screen when trying to connect the pipe ends together. Beware when you disconnect the old pipe - if you drop the end, you are stuffed.

I've not had to do this so I can't be sure what it looks like down there. What about inserting a length of electrical cable through the old pipe and threading it through the new one before pulling?
