Wheel Centre Caps
Discussion
I know this has been asked on PH before, but does anyone have available - or know where I can get - a centre cap for a standard Griff 500 7 spoke OZ Escoril wheel (the plastic one retained by a single screw)?
I gather they're as rare as the proverbial rocking horse p**, but my car's had one missing for a while now, and it's about time I replaced it. I asked Richard S while the car was in at Dulford down in Devon recently if he could get one, but he drew a blank - and he's pretty good at sourcing things usually. I've approached Bell Hill Garage too.
Any pointers or suggestions for contacts would be gratefully received. If anyone is scrapping or changing their original wheels, I'd pay a fair price to get hold of the cap from one of them...any offers?

Hi CliveK,
They are difficult to find. One of the TVR spares sites used to sell them but don't appear to now.
They do come up occasionally on ebay though....

... however, I have just spoken to Racetech who say that they are awaiting samples from someone who is trying to make them (in fibreglass). Watch this space.
Richard at Dulford Automotive told me someone was supposed to be going to make some for him out of fibreglass, but never came back with any. If Racetech manage to get hold of any remanufactured ones at a reasonable price, I might be interested, especially seeing the way the bidding on the one currently on ebay is going.Sorry a bit late - bin away. £29 each from Clever Trevor. Qoute "these are not mass produced in production quantities, we have a single mould producing one at a time, we then have to take them for painting, it also includes the badge TVR price £5.50 plus VAT.
We would be happy if someone would like to invest in mass producing them, as we probably make a loss on each one, we just did it to fill the spares vacuum."
