Growl - Rolling Road

The thread above on the Rolling Road is looking a bit bare at the moment. If we cant get enough interest then it would be in real danger of being cancelled.
Its a great opportunity to see what figures your P&J can pull alongside all your friends/peers so you can both check out your performance and also compare it to others (if you want). It also provides a great centre piece where your Griff is the centre of attention for the whole show for a period of time (it could be your Andy Warhol moment)!!
C'mon guys pull out the stops. The Chimp fest lads had a real blast with this and it was busy all weekend. Lets not get outdone eh?? Plus we have it a fiver cheaper for a pre booked run as well, by my reckoning...
Please let Bob 5.0ltr know by dropping him an email (thread above)...
Those of you who were there last year know what a good thing this is...lets not endanger it

a link to the thread might be nice, it's not the thread above that I can see, that's about aluminium door glass support removal at this moment in time! who's Bob? Is it open to non-Griffs? I thought there might have been a sticky about the rolling road but can't see one, making one would help your cause I think.

yeh does seem a rather strange attitude for a part of the event that may not go ahead to not allow other TVRs in .. I can understand wishing to have predominantly Griffiths on the dyno at a Griffith event, but it's not exactly oversubscribed, and if the event doesn't take other TVRs in it's in on the dyno it's in danger of not going ahead at all. Strange. Must be FlipFlops bat and ball hey?
Shame it clashes with the TVR racing though, would have loved to have come along to it, after all it was a griff I wanted when I bought the S but it was just after they'd stopped griff production and prices were too strong for me back then. I know a few Griff owners who are really nice and don't shout or anything and are really accomodating of other TVR models

I for one will be sorry that you can not make the Growl especially with what you have achieved with my car and indeed Clive's motor

As far as i am concerned you have a Griff 500 engine in your S so if it was my call you would be in as indeed you would be if it was Grahams call.
Perhaps a good job Joo as i have no doubt you would have put most of the entrants to shame in any case

...to be fair it was the plan last year that Griffs got first shout as it was(and still is) our show (Griff owners that is). That worked really well. Its the same this year really but as bookings are slow we will probably need to open it up earlier rather than later...
It would be a shame though if we have to as there were near 40 runs at Chimpfest. Not good if we get beaten by them...especially as, to the best of anyones knowledge, they only had in the region of 80 Chimps turn up for the whole event!!! (I do stand to be corrected here as I havent seen any offical figures).

I would have loved to run the Griff on the RR but it's unlikely my engine will be ready in time, seems like a number of us may be missing whilst engines are rebuilt!!
Still I will get the Power curve, when the engine is run on the dynos from Rob and the lads at V8 Developments
