Ok, maybe not that bad for some, not even sure why I'm posting this, guess it's to get it off my chest.....

I honestly don't know what the point is anymore of looking after our possessions, if other people have such little respect for them.

There I was, getting ready to set off for an afternoon run in the Griff, when I'm presented with this little present...

weeping

Fcensoredg piece of scensoredt!!!! No note, nothing!!! mad

My car is always garaged, but had been relegated to the road for a week while I work on my new project (ironically I'm rebuilding another Griff.......two into one space doesn't quite fit!!wink)

Off out now to drown my sorrows cry anyone suggest a good bodyshop in Essex?

Cheers guys frown

Had another look at it, guess it's not too bad really, just the light pod and front corner, but soooooooooooo annoying!!

Thanks Uncle Fester, will have a chat with them on Monday.

Looking on the brightside, I was planning on a front end respray over the winter..... rolleyes

Which ever body shop you take it too, make sure they check thoroughly for stress cracks further away from the obvious damage. They can show up after the paint has been baked.

I've used them 3 times in the past, but I wouldn't go near them again.

Sorry to see that, Bcensoredds, Only one place to take your Griff in my opinion - Surface and Design, probably not the easiest to get to for you, but by far the best! thumbup

Hia wavey

Thanks for the offer, but with a bit of juggling I managed to fit it in my garage until its picked up.....and in the meantime solved London's tranport problem....

I give you.....

The new 4 seater TVR, plenty of room up top!! hehe

Cheers for all the recommendations on where/where not to go, think I've settled on Castle (Hilton), just waiting on a quote now.

Fingers crossed I'll have it back before our Summer's over (or starts!)

I hope those supports are secure, that would take a bit of explaining to the insurance company. hehe

If it were mine then I would treat is as a good excuse to fit the later 7" headlamp units.

I went through the same thoughts when mine got bumped in 2005yes

Apparantly it's not as straightforward as just swapping one unit for the other.

My bodyshop guy, had done the conversion on his own Griff, and said there was a fair bit of work involved, so I left it, as I'd already commited to an engine rebuild.
Just a pair of pods and lamps to achieve this, seeing as the NS is probably damaged anyway......
Well worth it.
