Doesn't the modwise bonnet stay just bolt to the existing stay position on the bonnet and over the place where it sits on the wing Mike - with ball and socket type joints on each end?

If you can find a photo of BB's engine bay I'm sure he has one fitted

Cheers for that guys smileWhere does it sit when its retracted?I cant use the normal bonnet stay as it fouls the AJP airbox, and wont let the bonnet sit flush.I was hoping the retractable one sits along the bonnet brace bar when not in use?

The top part which is attached to the where the original is it then slides into the bottom part. so it sits in a straight line from where you can see it is attached at the normal stay holder.

I still have mine and your welcome to borrow it to try, its till works ok but is a little bent so that it doesn't slide/lock so well.

I have done a special version of mine that does exactly that. It clips onto the bar that goes between the two bonnet wheels at the front. PM if you want one.

Mike,
The telescopic bit may be the giveaway as to where it goes with the bonnet shut, ie one bit slides inside the other. Mrs FFG has one too.

Mike,
Wasn't taking the piss.
The top section attached where the original does, ie on the the ally cross piece, and the other end attaches to the original stay holder, ie on the n/s inner wing. Not sure what clearance there is as you can't see it.
It doesn't mark the silicon induction hose so must sit fairly neatly in the curve of the bonnet.
