I used a piece of tube on mine which had an outside diameter of just less than the diameter of the lense. Just held it in place and gave it a knock with my hand and they came free. They had been set in place with a silicone type sealer. I set my new ones on Sikaflex.

You know they come out backwards, and not from the front?

Once you've got access I suggest pulling it off at an angle. You need to break the adhesion, then it should come off OK.
