Been having a few problems with a hot engine misfire, all started with a coil problem.
Any way I’ve now got a fault code reader and after it’s first connection and a 15 minute drive got 26 (which doesn’t appear to be listed). After switching off, restarting and going for another drive it disappeared and I’m now not getting any codes.
There was a tread on this a while back over on the Chimaera forum which was inconclusive, any thoughts ?
Cheers,
Simon.

Possibly, as I’m getting an even misfire at high engine temperature.
However I measured both Lambda’s and although the readings I’m getting are 1.12v to .03v which are not quite right but it is the same for both and the lockout at 3500rpm is correct. So I’m assuming that these readings are due the limitations of my digital multimeter.
I am tending to think and have been advised that 26 is just a spurious reading, I’ll reset the ECU today and try again.

Simon.

I have a suspicion that code 26 might appear if you are running out of (or have run out of) fuel and that it is cleared from memory on switching the ignition off then on, unlike most other codes which are stored until cleared.Gassing Station | Griffith | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
