Stewart Warner were the original manufacturer, although they still exist , they dont have anything to do with these dials.

What problems do you have?

As Mike says it may be worth checking the transducer, there are two types though.
One gives 4 pulses per revolution and the other 8.
Its exhaust off job to change it on a precat.

Might be worth picking up the input from the speedo and checking it with a handheld scope.

If its not the transducer, then the chances are that the IC in the speedo is failing.
I sent mine to Speedy cables, but they said they couldnt repair it as they couldnt get the IC.
I took it to a local industrial electronics place who got hold of the IC and replaced it for me, FOR FREE!

Will try and remember the number of the IC. Sure its a common one, just a count function.

Integrated circuit or "chip"

In the speedo it counts the pulses and controls the needle.

You can roughly check the tranducer with a multimeter to see if you are getting difflection at evreypulse. In the bible it shows what ecu connections you can check at or you can (if you have one) undo the connector under the transmission tunnel,or straight on the transducer wires although harder to get to them... The wheels will need to be up and you will need to get someone to turn them so you can read the multimeter.
