Width is 1.93m apparently - but mine actually measures 1.89m.
Yer standard garage door is 2.13m.

Bible says:

Griffith is 3892 long and 1943 wide

Chimeara is 4015 long and 1865 wide.

Wing mirrors fold in and do not stick out further than the above dimensions if that helps.

Ooooooo - tight length is OK 0.5cm shorter than my S but width 3cm wider. I can only just open my S door enough to get out of the car and then only with the hood down. Need to think about this.

Thanks for your help guys

Do what I do and push the car in. Saves going to the gym.

I can't be bothered to go down and measure it but there's no way the Griff it 12" wider than the S - even if the handbook says so. Perhaps TW decided to use TVR rulers on the Griff like he used TVR horses for the 340 bhp power output wink

I owned and S3c for 4 years prior to my Griff and I would say there's about 1 1/2" to 2" difference in width across the tips of the wing mirrors judged by how it fits through the frame of my garage doors.

p.s. I'd also say the Chimp and the Griff are as near as dammit the same width. Basically I don't believe what it says in the handbooks...

Norman if I ever move on from the V8S it will be for a Griff. Gorgeous car. I know I'm probably lighting a firework here but much nicer than a chim in my view. biggrin

Hi FFG

Thanks but its OK I could get a Griff in the garage just a bit tighter than the S.

BTW Adrian@ said you were wanting to steal by S split roof for Mrs FFG's car - ger off biglaugh

Happy for you measure etc if its any help I think the split roof is better than the one piece but I would still prefer a fully folding roof 'al la' MGB

S roof is squarer at the front and back so wouldn't work without significant modding.
Didn't twig it was yours!!
