Long Time Lurker!
Discussion
Hello to the Griff forum!
As the title suggests, I have been visiting Pistonheads for a rather long time without ever contributing!
Bought my rather lovely Grff 500 (Halcyon Blue, Portland Grey interior) back in 1999 from new - not often you get to specify the precise specifications for your mistress...
In the past 9 years(!) have had so much fun and so few problems (bit of overheating) that I do not think there is any chance I will ever replace this car - it's fantastic!
Even now, still get the urge to pop down to the garage in the dead of night just to start her up (it is a 'her' is it not?)
I've made no modifications other than moving to Gaz shocks, although think the handling in my car still needs further refinement - prefer a setup to take me down A/B roads without finding too many ditches.
A big thanks to all on the Griff forum for all of the invaluable information which has been provided over the past years - not sure that I will be ever able to add to this!

Welcome to PH Buddy please contribute a little more though

As you say you just can not wipe the big grin off your face once you have took her out for a spin
Top Bloke
Actualy, my first spin was a 180 - before much tank slapping- ending up the other side of the road having hit black ice coming out of corner on a road next to the Hanger straight near Silvestone. All in slow motion - was only doing about 30 mph! Rubish driver or what!
Yup - poor posting record - but at least that's some record I have.
Must do better...

Not sure if my posting record fully reflects the entire volume of my contributions, since, if memory serves me right, I did once provide some favourable feedback on the Tomora when it was first released (quite some time ago then!), thinking it might be a replacement for the Griff. Unfortunately, it never quite hit the mark as far as I ws concerned once I saw it, and also lacked some of the aural excitement. Nice car 'though and probably quicker down the twisties!
