I think I might drive mine as much as possible. smile I did enough in 2006...

Maybe I'll make the quiet (trackday and sproglett compatible) exhaust, but that's about it.

Since I only did half of my list from last years "winter projects" - sorted out the headlights, heater blower, upgraded the front brakes and added braided brake lines - I've already got my list for this winter.

This weekend I'll put the finishing touches to the new workshop I built this summer (paint the floor, putting up racking, installing shelving and fit next doors old kitchen biggrin)) so I can move all my kit out of the garage to give me some room to get the Griff in and lift the body to replace the outriggers, replace the fuel lines, fuel pump, diff bushes and finish off painting the chassis with Electrox and POR15 and if I'm lucky I might just find the bloody clunk I have in the steering thats annoyed the crap out of me for the last 2 years.

THEN, it will go off to get the smashed back end fixed and repainted while I get stuck in to cleaning and painting the chassis on the Land Rover.

Not much chance of me being bored this winter then hehe

Speaking of doing the body lift this winter - wasn't there a sticky about this?
I think its about time I started reading, so it doesn't drift out and never get done (again)

I'm glad it isn't compulsory to reply to the question of this thread,as the page just isnt long enough for everything i've got planned in the run up to,and over, the winter!I'm hoping the paintwork will be done at the end of the year/early January, but theres an ever growing list of jobs piling up at the mofrown.Got the final coolant run done in ali hose today, and also found the final site for the washer bottle.Tomorrow i shall be mostly.......playing with the doors, both the electric window mechanism(both slow)and the alignment.Havent decided what to do as far away as Friday, but theres plenty to choose from!rolleyes.Still,i get to drive it in-between working on it,which does make up for all the hassledrivingsmile

Mike, dont what you are planning for the washer bottle, but did I show you mine at the growl? ooh errr.

I have used a renault megane filler tube and relocated the washer bottle under the O/S headlamp!
The filler tube comes through the inner wing and makes alot of space.

Hi Ant,how are you?waveyMy washer bottle is going in roughly the same place.I have no carbon can,and this means i can put the bottle on the other side of the front of the wheelarch,if that makes sense?I'm not putting mine under the light pod itself as one of my air filters would be in the way.Funny you should mention the Megane filler neck, thats what Byron(my paint specialist)recommended.I was wondering how best to graft the filler neck onto/into the bottle, what did you do?

Hmmm, I cut a hole and used a grommet around the neck of the filler.
Not the tidiest solution, but doesnt exactly draw your eye.

Mine isnt quite under the headlamp. In fact to be accutate, its basically on the other side of the GRP where it used to sit.

Gonna have to have a ride down to your end one day and have a go in the passenger seat.
Or let me know when you are up Joolz and I might pop up!

Quinny - I now officially hate you biggrin

Antony - there is a comment under the Fastener Checklist image which says
"Prior to raising the body cross check that the following fasteners have been removed!"

Does this mean the bolts mentioned under that heading are the only ones you need to undo to raise the body rather than remove it? (the hint being RAISING THE BODY!)
