Griffith with Ferrari rear lights and no high beam spots

Spotted on the way in to work this morning - near Stratford upon Avon
A very different looking Griff and one I've certainly never seen before. I got a (probably terrible) photo on my phone and I'll post that up tonight.
Like I say, cavalier lights removed and a single round Ferrari light installed, very neatly done too.
Front end had the bar removed across the mouth and a piece of black mesh over the hole, and window tint applied to the headlights - which are still very useable by all accounts too.
High beam spots removed completely and small square spots hidden behind the mesh.
I gave him my business card so I'll see if I can introduce him to PH when he contacts me because I don't think he's a member of here and he's not been to the growl either but will do next year.

Sort of, only not LED - they looked like bulbs when I was following him.
and from memory it looked like the recess for the light had been created first, then the light unit fitted into the recess hole, with a gap big enough to stick the end of your finger into down the sides - similar to how to the indicator is recessed.
Most annoying is I didn't get a photo of the front, which looked quite different.
OH, forgot to mention earlier. He also had Audi TT wing mirrors on it and told me they bolt straight on to the Griff, no mods necessary. And they look very nice. All curvy and look like they should have been originally.

Can't say I noticed anything odd about the angle of the wing mirrors as I walked towards the car, or when I was stood next to them. The view of him in my mirrors looked quite different though, hence me accosting the poor bugger at a T junction

Oh, it was a 500 and the interior looked standard, and he had Team Dynamics wheels on.

I agree. There are some decent pictures of the mirrors in the link I supplied above if you wait for the slideshow to show them. They look quite nice and the chap has modified the mounts so they sit nicely.

Have to say I am not a big fan of the last 100 pepperpot lights either. Nowt wrong with the originals but no reason not to try something off the wall

I'm really not convinced on the tinted lights. They were so dark I couldn't see anything at all through the lens and thought they were actually blanks. He said he hadn't upgraded the lights to Xenons or HIDs but could see fine with them.

that was my first impression now i am not sure!!Another thumbs down here as well - too bland looking for my liking.
I can't understand why people have to muck around with an all time classic design,but,each to their own I suppose - just feel Griffs and Chims are being 'chavved' up a bit too much these days and it spoils the marque a little - all IMHO of course

Agree. I find it strange that people think they can make the Griff look cool.
