Warning Light Panel
Discussion
I have just received an old Griffith dashboard with the warning light panel legend still in it,thanks Wargriff your a star.
My problem is it has not got the illumination part, just the clear plastic panel with the symbols on.
My question is how is the illumination part made up,is it a row of lamps somehow connected together and fixed on a bracket of some sort.If so how do you stop one light shining through another symbol?
Just thought is it a row of LEDs,if someone could tell me what the original was like I can start to construct my own.
Also I know that the warning lights are different colours, which symbol is which colour.
Thanks

Heres a very bad old picture i took some while back you can see the meatle led panel.

Think there be some pictures of it in the bible too...will dig a rund and see if i can find some clearer ones.
Basically there is two bolts glued to the back of the dash that this panel is then put onto..think they are either end of the dark see through part...

To the right of the photo:

ETA; just realised those are switches, but you get the idea ...
They are standard light fixtures, not LED, with a rubbery/foamy thing with holes for the lights over the top to stop light 'bleeding' into it's neighbour.

Not sure if that makes it any clearer though ...
