Griff in Lincoln
Discussion
I've had the S (Mica Ruby red) for a few years now and have wondered a few times about changing to a Griff. I've been to see a couple but not got any further but the idea keeps coming round. Anyway - I've been to Lincoln for a couple of days and was sat in the B+B having breakfast by the window and idly thinking about a nice Mica Ruby Griff when there was a nice rumble and one actually stopped right at the end of the drive (Wednesday on Yarborough Rd at 8.45 ish)- a Griff and Mica Ruby as well by the look of it. Spooky or what - maybe this is an omen for me to look more seriously ... Does the owner post on here (I'm not looking to buy it but would be interested to know)

Hi Ray - well what sort of coincidence is that! Pity I didn't know. We only had a couple of nights there so am back home now after some suitable leisure time - but then as I'm retired every day is leisure!!

Hi Jim,Jim
Shame it was on your last day would have been nice to have had a pint, could have given you a ride out in grumpy as well.
If you are over again pm me and we can get something arranged.
Hope you enjoyed our little city with the big church!

Ray,
Glad you are enjoying the last few opportunities our Great British Summer has to offer. I drove mine every chance I could and made up excuses to go for a blast, naturally. That was my downfall, unfortunately- I confused ambition with ability when driving to work one wet morning. A minor 'off road excursion' later and the car has been in at Prestige Performance Cars, Melton Mowbrey for minor bodywork repairs. I took the opportunity to give the car a really good sorting out at the same time it was in with Paul (chasis/waxoil/racing-red suspension/service etc.)
Will be getting it back later this month though. Can't wait.
We must meet up.
You could give me some driving tips!

Mark,
Look forward to meeting up, PM me when you get it back and we can organise a meet. I spoke with Paul today at the EMTVRCC meet about the Racing Reds, I'll be interested to hear your view on them as mine still needs some attention to the handling. We had a spirited drive home with R2TOY and it was hopping about a bit whereas his Tusc looked to be pretty smooth on it's Gaz Golds.
See you soon

Must have missed you as I was there too. I got there quite late in the old BRG MG roaster for my first EMTVRCC meet and not long afterwards people were leaving to make the most of the fantastic weather (for October.)
I was looking for your Griff but got sidetracked as I was made so welcome by TVR owners, I ended up chatting away as you do.
My Griff has a fresh MOT but Paul at PPC has a couple of little jobs to do before I pick it up. I also need a car-cover before I let it leave the warmth of his garage.
Will let you know when I get it back, then we can try out the roads of Lincoln

Mark.

Saw you arrive in the B but did not connect it was you. We left about 2 o'clock in company with Dave Scarborough who was in a blue Tuscan and had a real good quick run back across country. The Griff was just superb all day. I spoke with Paul about the Racing Reds he is now fitting, I might have to invest as the handling is not quite up to scratch.
See you soon
Ray
Look forward to the run out
